Hoops: Walter Dean Myers

All eyes are on seventeen-year-old Lonnie Jackson while he practices with his team for a city-wide basketball Tournament of Champions. His coach, Cal, knows Lonnie has what it takes to be a pro-basketball player, but warns him about giving in to the pressure. Cal knows because he, too, once had the chance, but sold out.
As the Tournament nears, Lonnie learns that some heavy bettors want Cal to keep him on the bench so that the team will lose the championship. As the last seconds of the game tick away Lonnie and Cal must make a decision. Are they willing to blow the chance of a lifetime?

there's nothing wrong with nonfiction books. Is all about what kind of book it is, something csn be very fun to read. Even if it isnt real. your favorite books are about the NBA, where is reading about the NBA gone get you in life. There's more out there then NBA books to read. Nonfiction book takes you mind to a whole another world other then just the facts of life.

Steven was a young man that life was alright then turn wrong over a few weeks. Just because he walked in and out of  a drug store. He never knew King was going to kill the old man. King Himself didn't know he was going to kill someone. All they wanted was money in their packets for once. And the only was a "get over". That "get over" sent them right to jail.

This photo is the cover of the book Monster By Walter Dean Myers.

Drawing of black on black crime taking place ties in the story when king shot the black owner of the drugstore that was rob.

photo of Walter Dean Myers the author of Monster druing a persention.

A photo collage that someone made of somewhat telling the strory all at once on a sheet of paper.
Steven lived in a jail cell somewhat like this on druing the time waiting for trail.

The drug store that was rob in the book may have been on the concer of the street as this one is.

Steven lived in poor black neighborhood as like this one. It may not have been this poor but then again it wasnt rich.

Steven said in the book that he only talked to King every now and then at the court and said quotes about the game and nothing else.
